Spacelume is a one-room practice. We design at the scale of a hinge, a shadow, a step — and at the scale of a city. What never changes is the brief: make the work feel inevitable.
We work slowly. We draw by hand. We stay on site. The studio is small on purpose, and the projects are few — a 1BHK in Gaur City, a salon in Greater Noida, a university in Defence Colony, a haveli-court in Bijnor. Each is a study in light, in weight, in time.

Founded in 2024 by Ar. Mihir Singh Vats, Spacelume is a small architecture and interior studio working across India. The studio operates from New Delhi, India, on projects that range from 380 sq.ft apartments to 32,000 sq.ft campuses.
Mihir Singh Vats is an architect trained in Delhi, with 2+ years in practice and a particular interest in passive climate, hand-finished materials, and the long, slow study of a single site. The studio is small — by design, not by capacity.

We work
slowly,
on purpose.
Five phases. No surprises. Every project is briefed, drawn, detailed, and built the same way — with the same small team, in the same room.

We begin with a long, unhurried conversation about how you live, work, and gather.

Site
We measure, photograph, and study the light, wind, soil, and context — sometimes for weeks.

Concept
We draw by hand, in plan and section, until a single, clear idea emerges.

Detail
We detail every joint, hinge, and shadow gap — drawings that can be built from.

We stay on site. Every finish, every fixture, every day — until the building is right.
